History
Believe it or not, Palm Coast was completely uninhabited just 45 years ago. Before 1969, the area that is now Palm Coast was mostly trees and swamp. A major communications firm purchased large tracts of land and started developing it in the early 1970s. In 1999, the City of Palm Coast was formally incorporated.

Location
Palm Coast is located along the north part of Florida’s east coast, not far from the city of St. Augustine. Jacksonville, Florida’s largest city, is about an hour drive to the north. Daytona Beach, widely known as the “World’s Most Famous Beach,” is about 40 minutes to the south. Outdoorsy types love going to the many parks, biking trails, fishing, world class golf and the state of the art Palm Coast Tennis Center.
